The foundation of Marathwada Mitramandal, Pune was laid in 1967 by Hon. Late Shri. Shankarraoji Chavan, Former Home Minister, Govt. of India as the ‘Founder President’ followed by Hon. Late Shri. Vilasraoji Deshmukh, ‘Former Union Minister’, Govt. of India and through the inspiration of socially and educationally charged personalities, with the motto "येथे बहुतांचे हित" (Welfare of Masses), as a small light in the form of a hostel (for students from Marathwada region who did not have accommodation facility to take up education in Pune).

At present Marathwada Mitramandal is a pivot of educational organizations which include Colleges, Centers,Hostel and Schools which have been imparting excellent education for 55 years.

Marathwada Mitramandal has made rapid strides, making it one of the premier diversified group of educational institutions functional at four independent campuses. These campuses epitomize the Marathwada Mitramandal mission ‘To impart quality education for Professional Excellence and sustainable development through continual improvement and team work’
